At present I'm reading a manuscript (which I'll keep unnamed for now, as it is not released), looking to be a YA sci-fi fantasy; that said, a sci-fi fantasy directed at a YA audience.
Relax, if it was The Buff Vampires and Doe-Eyed Chicks Yearbook Chronicles, I wouldn't be attached.
So far in one chapter, the author is wanting the protagonist (and we the audience) to go on an epic journey, the urban fantasy "take no prisoners" approach I find refreshing - choices now, consequences later. I'll have the details up as soon as I get along (may get first shot at the author's second book, see how I go!).
